FAQs
How do you serve?
We offer two serving options. You can either pick up or we can deliver and set up. What's your pricing? Can you send me a quote? We now have a new easy peasy online ordering system that offers instant price quotes. Is a deposit required to book? Yup - it sure is. We require a deposit of 50% to reserve your desired date. $100 is a non-refundable booking that is factored into that 50% deposit. Payment in full is due 30 days prior to an event. You will be emailed a contract from HelloSign to electronically sign. Sorry but we do not accept checks. As we're booking well into 2022, we do not hold dates under any circumstances. Please do not ask us to send a contract if you are unable to pay the deposit invoice within 24-hours. All contracts will be cancelled if not paid in the allotted time frame. What's your cancellation policy? READ about our cancellation policy and delivery fees. We highly recommend you inquire about wedding/event insurance due to unforeseen circumstances (I'm talking about you Hurricanes Matthew and Irma and don't get me started on COVID). Travelers, Nationwide, Progressive and a variety of other carriers can provide you with a wedding insurance quote. How far in advance should I book? Due to our beautiful weather, Charleston wedding season extends throughout the year, but the busiest times are April, May, October, November and December. During these premium times, we book weddings a year and a half advance. Corporate lead times are much shorter. Most times, we can accommodate last minute requests as we have three trailers to accommodate our many bookings. Do you offer tastings? Yup. Sure do! You can learn more here. How many desserts should I order for a wedding or event? If ordering jars, we recommend at least one jar dessert per guest. If ordering mini's, we recommend 1 1/2 per guest. Two weeks before your event, we'll confirm numbers and menu. If needed, you can always add more. Do you travel outside of the immediate Charleston area? We do! Our destination fee outside of the immediate Charleston area (Charleston, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, Daniel Island, Johns Island and Folly Beach) is based on where you're located. You'll will be required to secure any permits and business licensing if we travel outside our immediate area. We've catered parties all around the Lowcountry. Please contact us for pricing. What do we do with the mason jars? Like any caterer, we recycle jars throughout the night and take them back with us. Do you only make desserts in mason jars? What if we want "regular" cupcakes? As Charleston's only mason jar bakery, we only make our signature desserts in mason jars. And we make a lot more than just cupcakes. Our cupcakes, cobblers, pies and cookies are not only delicious (and often copied but never replicated) they're unique - just like you want your party to be. Besides "regular" cupcakes are boring. Everyone makes them and they all look exactly the same and displayed on what appears to be ... the exact... same... rustic... wood farm table. Yawn! No one will remember your regular o' cupcakes but they'll certainly remember our delicious and one-of-a-kind mason jar desserts. What are your payment options? We accept all major credit cards. We do not accept personal checks. To protect your security, we do not accept credit card numbers over the phone - instead you will be emailed an electronic invoice directly from Square to pay with your credit card. |
